Getting there

It’s easy to get to Stockholms Tingsrätt from almost any location in Stockholm. There are plenty of buses, a subway station (Rådhuset), or it’s just a 5 minute walk from the central train station.

By subway

Just take the subway to Rådhuset and walk two block from there. Sit in the back of the train if you’re coming from Centralen. When coming up the escalators turn left towards Kungsholmsgatan. When coming out on the street just walk Pipersgatan straight ahead, cross Fleminggatan and walk left one block to Fleminggatan 14.

By bus

Buses 1, 40 and 69 have bus stops almost right outside Stockholms Tingsrätt. Click here for a Journey Planner from SL.

By car

Just avoid driving your own car. It’s really hard to find good parking on Kungsholmen. There are a couple of parking garages nearby, but they cost well over 30 SEK/h.

On foot

If you endure the cold weather and walk, you’ll find a good map feature with directions with a little help of either Hitta.se or Google Maps. Below is directions from Sergels Torg to Stockholms Tingsrätt via Hitta.se.

The TPB Bus

The TPB Bus, S23K is parked just a few hundred yards from Stockholms Tingsrätt, on the bridge Barnhusbron.

The bus functions as a temporary head quarter for the Spectrial visitors.

Free WiFi and really good espresso at Il Caffè

Just two blocks away from Stockholms Tingsrätt, where the trial is held you find one of Stockholm’s best espresso bars: Il Caffè, where the WiFi is free, the coffee is really damn good, the music is flowing, the people are friendly and the walls are a piece of art in themselves.

If you’re hungry, there’s a good selection of sandwiches and lot’s of sweet stuff.

Welcome to The TPB Trial in Stockholm

On Monday 16th of February 2009 the most spectacular trial ever will start in Stockholm, at Stockholms Tingsrätt, Fleminggatan 14.

This site is an attempt to set up a on-a-shoestring type of tourist’s guide to the spectacular trial, the SpecTrial.

You know the drill of these guides. Getting there, places to stay, places to eat, places to drink (coffee or beer)… and in this case with the added categories places to stay warm, places to park a bus and, maybe most important, places to get free WiFi.

If you want all this in Swedish, there are a couple of good sites that will provide excellent information. Cafékartan, Wifikartan, and Sushikartan are three very specialized map sites. Here with prepopulated searches for venues close to the trial.
